KDLT Creative Services
I am currently the Creative Services Manager at KDLT. Half of my job is being a manager and the other half is being a creative. As a manager I keep the creative services department running smoothly. I divide the work among the department, make sure deadlines are being met, solve problems that occur, and help others in my department as needed. As a creative I create commercial spots and web ads for local businesses as well as promos for KDLT News. I am also in charge of our KDLT Cares initiative. This involves setting up sponsorships with local charities and events around the community. I then create promotional materials such as, PSA's, digital ads, posters, coupons, directories, and general KDLT swag for these events.
Freelance
Outside of KDLT I do freelance work, mostly for friends, family, and co-workers. I've designed logos, invitations, and business cards. I helped Tom Hanson, my co-worker, bring his Modo Moon character to life for the Brand Licensing Europe Challenge
'License This!'. It's an international contest giving new, creative concepts the opportunity to break into the global licensing industry.
Wife, Mom, Gamer, and All Around Crafty Lady
Outside of work, my amazing husband and I just became new parents of a wonderful little boy . The two of us are big gamers, both video games and board games. I also play competitive sports like bowling and kickball. I'm very close with my family even though we are spread across the country. Thanks to Skype I get to see them when we chat and watch my two nieces grow up. In my spare time I love to bake, which keeps my husband and co-workers happy. Being the creative type I also love projects. Whether its building a model, making coasters, knitting scarves or just a cross stitch I'm always working on something.
